Welcome to My Biotech Life!
I’m Ricardo Vidal, a biological engineer (B.Eng and M.Eng at University of Algarve) from Portugal. I’m currently based in Kingston, Ontario.
My scientific interests are widespread and range from Genetics and Molecular Biology to Industrial Bioprocessing and Bioinformatics.
My Biotech Life, came to be after I noticed that I was commenting way more than some people even post on blogs. So, I decided to setup camp and have been enjoying it since day one.
Although I have great interest in the life sciences, I have another area that fascinates me just as much: The Internet. Aside from university work, I’ve worked as a freelance web developer roughly since the turn of the millennium.
I have had the opportunity to work with companies and clients related to biotech or life science fields (including The DNA Network – see logo!). So, if you are interested in getting some design work, feel free to take a look at some of my work here and here.
