<blockquote cite="How interesting could programming for Cisco be, anyway?">

Well, you have the opportunity to write code for Cisco IOS, the world biggest network operating system, the opportunity to have your code in million of routers, including the internet backbone, help standardize(write RFCs) network protocols that will be used by billions of people, how interesting could it be?

Great story! Those poor guys don't know what they're missing.

I love bio because I can be a biologist and work on the computer at the same time. I work with many outstanding people who are recent graduates in biological fields. I don't think they went into biology because that's where the money is (the money in biology is comparable to the money in programming) but because it's what they're interested in. How interesting could programming for Cisco be, anyway?
