Twitter Packs - the Science Pack
As everybody knows, Twitter is massive and the number of people and sites using it to communicate is ever growing. You can find me twittering here.
Taking the idea from an interesting project called TwitterPacks (or ProjectPacks, I’m not sure), I’m going to list here all the twitterers that are science related and effectively use twitter to spread scientific news.
Since I was unable to find one at TwitterPacks, here goes mine:
- David Bradley’s ScienceBase - http://twitter.com/sciencebase
- WIRED Science - http://twitter.com/WIREDScience
- Digg Science - http://twitter.com/digg_science
- ScienceNewsBlog - http://twitter.com/science
- NYTimes Science - http://twitter.com/nyt_science
- Yale Science Libraries - http://twitter.com/yalescilib
I’m counting on the help of my readers to make this list grow. Specially since I only know a couple of science twitters. Drop a comment with potential candidates or email me.
And I’ll obviously replicate the list I make here into the TwitterPacks pbwiki.

I know this is totally not what you were looking for but I thought you might enjoy the joke. I know Twitter is a huge thing nowadays, but every time I see it mentioned I nearly bust out laughing. Why? Because that is the euphemism my parents used for the female anatomy when I was little. I can’t get over it. So twittering means a whole different thing to me!
Thanks! I often complain that no one in Twitter understands what I’m talking about when I get all happy that my transformation worked…I’m definitely adding those!

Just what we were looking for! Surprised to not find a science section on the twitterpacks site itself. We are new to twitter and looking to make it a part of our online strategy to promote science news. Feel free to add us to your list http://twitter.com/nullhypothesis. Thanks null
