Napoleon hat boomerang by WhiskeyTangoFoxtrot (flickr)It seems that Dr. James Watson’s comments regarding the “lesser intelligence” of Black people may have just came back to haunt him. And it is his fault, on both accounts.

His comments went far and wide but eventually boomeranged back. The bite-back comes from deCODE Genetics that analyzed Dr. Watson’s openly available genome data and came up with some interesting information.

The results from the analysis of Dr. Watson’s genome show that he has 16% of his genes likely to have come from black ancestry of African descent. And even other info such as 6% coming from ancestry of Asian descent. How about that!

“This level is what you would expect in someone who had a great-grandparent who was African. It was very surprising to get this result for Jim.” - Kari Stefansson of deCODE Genetics.

You’d think that one would try to make sure that he’s got all the facts straight before blurting out something controversial. Something that just might come back and bite you in the so called rear-end.
