nanoHUB brings nanotechnology to the web
One of the most promising areas of modern science is nanotechnology, with penetration into fields ranging from medicine to material engineering.
I recently found this site dedicated to nanoscience and nanotechnology called nanoHUB. bought to the web by the NCN (Network for Computational Nanotechnology) at Purdue University.
It’s a beautifully designed and structured website that provides visitors with valuable information, for beginners and experts alike.
Although not an area that I’m too familiar with (other than some simple stuff about biosensors which is not really nanotech…) I’ve found this site to be a good example of how the use of great design and new web technologies can make room for a better user experience, be it for proper research or simply learning a bit about nanotechnology.

So is this continually updated? I know nanotech is way too overhyped (and I’m one of the people overhyping it), but I absolutely love the idea of nanoscopic technology! We need to get a jump on this stuff. Apparently, the Russians are way ahead of us.
the nanoHUB has been a formal project funded by the National Science Foundation for the past 5 years. The Purdue group has performed nanoelectronic simulation wince 1994. We have been funded for another 5 years, so I think you can assume that indeed we will continue the service for a while :-)
I hope you enjoy the site to learn more about nanoelectronics, nanoelectromechanics, and nano-bio devices for medicine.
