CSI LogoRecent developments in the case regarding little Maddie Mccann, the little girl gone missing about three months ago from a beach resort in southern Portugal, have been focusing on blood found in the hotel room.

The evidence was sent to the UK to be processed by the English crime labs and compared against their large UK DNA database. This was over three weeks ago. We are still waiting on results.

After the UK press bashed the Portuguese police force for being incompetent and taking way too long running their searches, the ball now seems to be on the other side and things aren’t looking much better.

While all this goes on, the little girl is still missing, and there is no (noticeable) results towards the felon, we can only imagine what would have happened if things were more like CSI.

The cops would have found the evidence. Sent it to the lab where a cool lab tech would have popped the sample in a cool looking centrifuge (under dim lighting!).
The cop would wait next to the spinning and humming equipment for a couple minutes (while we watch a tv commercial or two) and then the results would be printed out on a fancy printer with the name of the bad guy in big letters.
