Back to the grind
I took last week off while some family of mine came across the Atlantic to visit.
A long story short, I got a chance to unwind and catch some sun. I needed it!
Now although I’ve been back online for a couple days, my inbox is still packed, my feedreader is going mad and there is so much to catch up on.
I guess this is normal when you spend a lot of time online and then step away for a while.
So, a lot has been going on and there is a lot I’d like to write about. But since time is scarce I’ll make a quick list of what I’ve missed and noticed and even some stuff that I’ll get back to shortly.
- Gene Genie #11 came about and I recommend that if you haven’t yet read it, go give it a look-see. And while we’re on this topic, I’ll be hosting the next edition on July 29th.
If you have anything you’d like to contribute edition #12, email me or submit it at the official carnival page form. - PLoS One now has a neat rating system going and new registered users can even win a mouse pad. So if you haven’t yet registered, what are you waiting for?
- The DNA Network was recently bumped up to 21 members with the addition of two new members, namely Dr. Jonathan Eisen at The Tree of Life and Dr. Ramunas Janavicius, a clinical genetics resident in Lithuania, at Cancer Genetics. I welcome you both and your great blogs.
- Hsien Lei over at EyeonDNA has another contest going for July where the prize is a cool DNA Tshirt. Give it a try, you might just win!
Although I’m still swamped, I’ll try get things back into motion asap. Keep posted and submit your entries for Gene Genie #12!
