Cloning bad! SCNT good!
After reading this article, the only real conclusion you should make is that using the word ‘cloning‘ has a lesser approval rate than the term ‘SCNT‘ (somatic cell nuclear transfer).
I can’t see why the term cloning should be dropped. It is used in so many situations and forms that it just seems that the article’s author should have thought a little more about that title…
Ok, use ‘SCNT‘ if your trying to sell your idea to the general public. It seems to work better, even when related to human cloning. But leave the word ‘cloning‘ alone, it’s fine as it is.

Agreed. It seems silly to have to change terms like that, but “cloning” is a loaded term, kind of like global warming or evolution.

the reason I think cloning is bad is because basicaly is you would throw your life away. You would throw your individuality away and wierdness away. It is just plain wrong.some of the countries actually let it happen. can you believe that???? Well anyway I have to get back to the essay I am writing about cloning. Talk to you later!!!!!

If you have a look at it, identical twins are nothing more than clones of each other. And they seem to cope with it quite fine. Most even go onto live different lifestyles. Wouldn’t you agree?

Well, to state it so bluntly, I’d have to say it’s neither REALLY good or bad.
There are a lot of issues involved and ethical questions pop up more often than some would like.

i think that cloning is terrible it is taking the place of God. it is like picking when people die. well think about this, if your younger bro er sis was at stake and needed a heart transplant but no one to give them one. would you have them cloned and use that heart? well think about this then you r killing the clone and your bro/sis would later still need a differ. heart if they cloned themself because they would still have a heart problem. what about how God picks when you die, NOT US!!! if it is our time to die then that is what it should be.!!!
If god picks when you die Emily, what about when some one is in a car crash and a doctor saves them, but in a third world country people die from common curable diseases. Cloning is a tool the same as antibiotics or other medicines. It can be used carefully or abused. It also depends on definitions of what you mean, as suggested in the article above. Cloning can mean many things. I see using cloned stem cells for theraputic purposes is no different than taking any other medicine or having an operation.
if you kill a clone with feelings for a heart or something for the person that it was cloned wouldn’t that be like killing a person without asking them first
