Ever wonder how they make those amazing 3D images of proteins and other molecules? Well, I decided to give it a try although I have near to no knowledge of 3D modelling software.

After a little searching I found a tutorial on how to work with macromolecular data in Maya. So I gave it a spin. Downloaded the trial version and some of the necessary scripts (plug-ins?) and followed the directions and tried my best to get things to work properly and the results were quick!
